Private Classes
Instruction is limited to a single student, but I will accept one more student at a discount providing they are related to or friend of the primary student and both do the same project. Instruction sessions are scheduled for 4 hours and are offered whenever the individual(s) and I can arrange a compatible time. Prior to each class the student(s) and I agree on what we're going to make and if not completed within the allotted time, it can be extended up to a half hour at no charge. If it runs longer it will be billed at $40 an hour until the project is completed.
If a group up to 5 students want to book a class, for up to a full 8 hours in a day, with multiple days possible depending on the project/instruction wanted, call me to discuss the size of the group, project, or instruction wanted, and I'll quote you a price.
Private classes cover whatever the individual wants to learn and we've agreed upon in advance of the class. I’ve had students who only wanted to learn how to sharpen tools while others wanted more in depth instruction in advance techniques such as deep hollowing, threading, making a cowboy hat, etc. If I don't think we can cover a specific topic in 4 hours, I'll let the student know and what an estimated time and cost would be to complete the instruction. No topic is off limits and if I don’t feel qualified in teaching what you want, I’ll tell you. if we get into the instruction and you don’t feel you’ve gotten good value for dollar spent, then it’s no charge or we work until you get full satisfaction. In hundreds of students I’ve never had a single one leave my shop without completing a project to their satisfaction, even if it meant spending extra time.
Cost is $200 for a single or $300 for a couple.
