Here’s a picture of my work shop from the front. Yes we do get snow in Western Washington, although it is rare. The shop has a full bath room, a clean room and lots of storage area.
You can view inside my shop by clicking on any of the pictures in the gallery below. Most of the shop is devoted to turning wood as I have 7 lathes set up. Five of them are mine and two of them belong to the Woodturners of Olympia. All of them get used in group classes or during mentoring sessions with the club. I also have a pretty good selection of “flat work” tools like the table saw, jointer, planer, drill press, etc. that I can use when the mood strikes or Judy orders something for the home.
Kiley, the shop dog, is the four legged one lying on her couch in the shop. She is good company and does a good job of helping pick up extraneous pieces of wood and putting them away for me.
There’s also a picture of my wood storage shelves. This is wood that has been rough turned and is drying awaiting for its final determination as to what art form it will take.
