These pictures were taken from our home.  The mountain is Mount Rainier, which can be seen on a sunny day, and yes we do get sun in the Northwest as proven by this picture.

We sit up on a hill looking due North and East and can see Mount Baker on a clear day, which is over a hundred miles away.  The other pictures are of islands in Puget Sound we can see from our vantage.  Also for the golfers, I can see Chambers Bay and the Home Course from our upper deck – with a spotting scope of course.

Not shown but equally visible on a clear day to the Northwest are the Olympic Mountains.  We feel lucky and blessed to live in such a pretty area.  Although for those of you who don’t live here, we do put up with a lot of gray and “Seattle sunshine” (which is also known as drizzle, showers, mist, rain, etc.)
